The 9th Symposium on Mesozoic Terrestrial Ecosystems and Biota
       June 2006 • Manchester, UK

The 9th Symposium on Mesozoic Terrestrial Ecosystems will take place at the University of Manchester from June 27th to June 29th, 2006. The MTE symposia are international meetings that take place roughly every four years. They were initiated in 1978 (Paris) to provide a forum in which geologists and palaeontologists working on different aspects of Mesozoic continental ecosystems could meet and exchange ideas. Platform sessions include invited plenary lectures on major themes and shorter research talks. Participants are encouraged to focus on broader implications of their work (to palaeoenvironments, palaeobiogeography, etc.) rather than narrower descriptive or phylogenetic studies.
